HCS is built on foundations of humanistic therapy. We offer counsellors from different counties and varied modalities within the humanistic approaches. Our ethos is to provide high quality service to our clients and operate on a social enterprise system, which applies a strategy to maximise improvements in the well-being of disadvantaged client groups.
HCS aims to provide a non-judgemental, confidential and supportive environment to promote an atmosphere of trust, enabling clients to bring to the session what is important for them.
In addition to our core training, HCS communicate skilfully in a range of ways across and within a multitude of contexts. We therefore draw on all other experiences of approaches we have learned along the way. Regular attendance at workshops and additional training has enhanced our self-awareness as well as our perception in noticing what might be useful to explore in the client's phenomenology. We place important emphasis on the skills necessary for using counselling most effectively, regardless of the age, sex or orientation of the client. Clients are encouraged by us to develop reflective skills, sometimes through the use of creativity, depending on the needs of the individual.
Our team's experience as counsellors has been gained in a wide range of contexts which include; children, young people and adults, specialised agency settings (sexual trauma), educational, social services, public services and private practice. We are experienced in both time-limited and open-ended contracts.
HCS take great pride in the progress and success of our clients. We look forward to helping you.
